How we count

Each row is one version of a song that a platform chart lists this week: a remix, an edit, or a sped-up or slowed version. When we know the original, it sits beside the version. We read the charts below every morning.

Streams this week

“This week” is the change between two weekly readings. For each version we take its lifetime Spotify total at today's reading and subtract its total at our reading about a week earlier. This edition compares with 22 Sep, 7.0 days earlier. The big number adds up those changes for the versions in the list. Originals are not included. A version with no reading a week ago, or no change between readings, has no weekly figure yet: we leave it out and never count it as zero. Some rows print no figure because the original's is unknown; their streams still count in the total. Search and filters change the total so it always matches the list. All time adds up lifetime totals instead.

Royalties

At a rule of thumb of $3,000 per million Spotify streams, this week's 124,303,396 streams are worth about $372,910 in royalties. That is an estimate, not a payout.
